Ron Calef helped found Caliber Construction in 1993, with his business partner Steve. Ron has over 35 years of diverse experience in the DC commercial construction industry. Using his talent and experience, Ron has developed close business relationships with a large portfolio of corporate clients who trust his ability to offer excellence and budget-minded management of their Projects. Ron has an advanced degree in Engineering Administration / Construction Management from George Washington University, and an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University.

A founding Partner of Caliber Construction, Steve has over 30 years experience in the DC commercial construction market. His leadership and diverse experience both in civil engineering and construction management, has helped make Caliber a success. Steve has managed a wide range of projects including medical outpatient facilities, TV/Radio broadcasting centers, secure SCIF environments, high tech data centers, and major capital improvement projects. His ability to develop lasting client relationships and deliver successful projects to our clients has made Steve and Caliber a valuable asset in our industry. Steve has a degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from Temple University.

Tom began his career at Caliber in 1993 as one of our original staff members. Tom currently serves as the Vice President. During his 23 years in the construction industry Tom has had the pleasure of working with some of Washington DC’s largest contractors and tradesmen. His diverse experience in field operations, estimating, project management, & design-build services allows Tom to provide his Caliber clients with the ideal tools to make their projects a success. Tom is responsible for Superintendent management, project scheduling & management, and serves as Caliber’s Safety officer.
Caliber's attention to the smallest of details helps ensure that each stage of construction is properly implemented to achieve success. We have a unique corporate structure. Our corporate officers manage projects and focus their experience directly on client needs. Access to our management team begins in pre-construction consulting and continues through project completion.
